  • Any employee who works well deserves recognition, so raises are customary for live-in caregivers as with all employees
  • A raise of $100/mo per year for each year worked (up to a limit) is recommended
  • It is up to your discretion how often you want to give a raise i.e. $25/mo every 3 months or $50/mo every 6 months or $100/mo every year
• Gifts/Bonuses
  • It is always nice to recognize your nannies hard work at special occasions for her like Christmas/New Years and birthdays
  • The going rate for a Christmas bonus is $50-$100
  • Although most nannies would prefer getting the extra cash, a personal extra like a picture frame is a nice extra to show the nanny that you care
